The Detroit Red Wings have re-signed right-winger Mitch Callahan to a one- year contract worth $600,000.
Callahan, drafted by the Wings 180th overall in 2009. The Grand Rapids Griffin was on a one-year deal that expired this year and the Wings renewed his contract.
Callahan has only played one game with the Red Wings, but with the Griffins he has played 237 games scoring 59 goals and 52 assists.
The report got tweeted by Renaud Lavoie, a reporter from TVA Sports in Quebec in the wee hours of the morning.
