Detroit Red Wings News: Hall of Fame, New Arena & Signing Griffins

Elections were held for the Hockey Hall of Fame on Monday and two of the the players elected were former Red Wings, Nicklas Lidstrom and Sergei Fedorov.

Lidstrom who played from 1991 until 2012, had 1, 142 points in 1,564 games with the Red Wings. He had 183 points in 263 playoff games.

Lidstrom won four Stanley Cups with the Red Wings, seven Norris trophies for best defenseman, the Conn Smythe trophy for playoff MVP in 2002 and a gold medal with team Sweden in 2006.

Fedorov was picked 74th overall in the fourth round of the 1989 NHL draft and played for the Wings from 1990 until 2003.
