It’s been a busy week for the Grand Rapids Griffins, with more and more skaters agreeing to terms on new contracts, the team looks to repeat the Calder Cup winning success of 2012-13.
Mitch Callahan won the cup with the Griffins in 2012-13 and having signed on the dotted line, will be with the team for 2015-16 season, his fourth with the franchise. Callahan may not have dazzled in his single game for Detroit, but he’s been a solid right-winger for Grand Rapids, scoring 44 regular season points, and 8 in the playoffs.
Another Griffin who isn’t going anywhere is blue liner Nick Jensen.
