Detroit Red Wings forward Steve Ott is still dealing with a sore shoulder suffered during a fight with Matt Martin in the Jan. 1 outdoor game in Toronto.
“It’s getting close, it’s getting a lot better,” Ott said after practice today at Joe Louis Arena. But asked whether he’d be available to play Tuesday at Boston (7 p.m., FSD), Ott said: “We gotta see how I feel again tomorrow, to be honest. We took a lot of shots on it today. Doing a lot of stuff in the gym. We’ll see tomorrow how it feels.”
The Wings are going to be without two key forwards against the Bruins.
