There were two games that started off the event at USA Hockey Arena. In the first game, Team USA White defeated Finland. The last game of the day ended in a 4-3 win for Sweden over Team USA Blue.

Keith Petruzzelli and Gustave Lindstrom saw playing time for their respective countries. Petruzzelli had 18 saves on 21 shots faced and Lindstrom finished minus one.
Detroit Red Wings Prospect Kasper Kotkansalo was on the score sheet for Finland in the first game of the afternoon.
