The Detroit Red Wings didn’t come out of their dominant performance against the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday night without suffering a couple of big losses. Both Drew Miller and Teemu Pulkkinen suffered upper-body injuries in the game that will sideline both players for at least 6 weeks.
Both Pulkkinen and Miller’s injuries occurred in the first period of Thursday night’s game, Pulkkinen suffered a separated shoulder and will miss 6-8 weeks of action. Miller took a big hit from Arizona’s Klas Dahlbeck and suffered a fractured jaw. Miller will undergo surgery on Saturday to repair his jaw and will be out an estimated 6 weeks.
