Jimmy Howard knows something about needing a mask in order to work.
The Detroit Red Wings goaltender has donated $50,000 worth of N95 masks to the Detroit Medical Center to help protect healthcare workers and patients on the front lines dealing with COVID-19. A news release Wednesday said the masks are on their way to the DMC.
“These healthcare workers are fighting the battle of their lives, on behalf of all of us,” Howard said in the release. “They are heroes, and we’ve all got to do what we can to support them and thank them for their tireless work right now and in the weeks to come.
