There was a little moment of levity in the Detroit Red Wings’ locker room Tuesday when one player addressed the popularity of bobbleheads.
Justin Abdelkader was holding the Jimmy Howard bobblehead that was the scheduled giveaway for the evening game between the Wings and Montreal Canadiens at Little Caesars Arena. It has not been a good season for either veteran, but the marketing department schedules giveaways far in advance.
Abdelkader noted Howard’s figurine “has pretty good hair. He’s got pretty good style. Good celebration.”
Abdelkader revealed his son, Jaxon, who is just under a year and a half old, sometimes plays with the Abdelkader bobblehead that was a giveaway item last year.
