Brendan Perlini looked relieved when he saw his linemate’s shot sink into the opponent’s net.
While fellow newcomer Robby Fabbri showed a hot hand in his debut and ever since, Perlini finally has a point to take into his next game. The Detroit Red Wings host the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday at Little Caesars Arena (7:30 p.m., Fox Sports Detroit) on a five-game points streak.
Perlini earned an assist in Saturday's shootout loss at San Jose when he fed a nice pass to Taro Hirose, whose shot from the slot made it 2-2.
