In what would seem to be encouraging news for the Detroit Red Wings, Henrik Zetterberg is golfing.
Fellow Swede Erik Karlsson posted a picture Tuesday to his Instagram of a group shot of Zetterberg, Daniel Cleary, Valtteri Filppula and Karlsson at the Trump International Golf Links Association in Abderdeen, Scotland.
Cleary told the Free Press he and Zetterberg shot “OK.”
General manager Ken Holland said during a July 1 teleconference that he is expecting Zetterberg to play next season. Zetterberg turns 38 on Oct. 9. He needs 40 points to reach 1,000 for his NHL career.
