Detroit Red Wings have 8.5 percent chance at No. 1 pick in NHL draft

If the NHL season ended today, the Detroit Red Wings would have only 8.5 percent odds of winning the right to draft Rasmus Dahlin in June.

The NHL announced draft lottery odds on Wednesday, and the team that finishes the season 31st in the standings will have slightly better odds than last year at drafting first overall. The 30th place team in 2017 had 18 percent odds.
