Detroit Red Wings' game against Colorado Avalanche postponed due to COVID-19

The Detroit Red Wings will have to play at least one make-up game because the Colorado Avalanche's season has been put on pause through the Christmas holiday break because of the virus.

The Wings had been scheduled to play the Avs Monday at Little Caesars Arena, but the NHL shut down the Avs Friday due to the number of positive cases. The Calgary Flames and Florida Panthers have also had their seasons delayed.

The Wings are scheduled to play the New Jersey Devils Saturday in what will mark the first time LCA has a Wings and Pistons game on the same day since opening in October 2017.
