Detroit Red Wings' Filip Zadina stuffs Montreal's net: 'It means a lot to me'

Filip Zadina erupted in joy, dropping to one knee and pumping his right arm in the air as teammates rushed to embrace him.

It was as cool, as exhilarating, as satisfying a moment as Zadina has experienced since the Detroit Red Wings drafted him in 2018. He was projected to go as high as third but Montreal, Ottawa and Arizona all passed on him, and he vowed on draft night to fill their nets with pucks.

He has a chance to follow up with the Senators as they are in town Friday, but until then, Zadina can savor the one that stung the Canadiens.
