Detroit Red Wings end fathers trip on winning note

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Detroit Red Wings made good on giving their fathers something to cheer.

Playing at Bridgestone Arena clearly appeals to the Wings, as they won in Nashville for the fifth straight time Tuesday, beating the Predators, 3-2.

More importantly, the Wings played better than during the losses at Buffalo and Chicago that sullied the first two stops on the dads' trip. They did make it hard on themselves by taking six penalties, the last with 57 seconds to go in regulation.
