Detroit Red Wings Drop Great Goalie Duel Vs. Flyers

Detroit earns one point in fantastic goalie showdown

Here’s What Happened:

The Detroit Red Wings returned home to Hockeytown and the Joe Louis Arena after a long and prosperous six-game road trip to face a surging Philadelphia Flyers team. Sunday’s matchup against the Flyers would be a tale of two goalies playing huge for their respective teams.

Petr Mrazek was sensational between the pipes for the Red Wings during the sixty minutes of regulation play. Mrazek stopped 30 of the Flyer’s 31 total shots, including some very crucial and impressive penalty-killing saves. Mrazek was perhaps most impressive during Detroit’s five on three penalty-kill halfway through the third and final period.
