Aside from being the Boston Bruins absolutely Schruting not only trading, but then drafting as well, the other draft highlights were the swift selections. Gone are the days of thanking everyone and their mother. No, they really got down to business today.

Since Boston had the 13th-15th picks, they inexplicably took two players rated lower in everyone’s draft board. They left a bevy of talent for the next four teams, one of them being the Red Wings.

Nick Merkley, Evgeny Svechnikov, Colin White, and Jonas Eriksson Ek remained.
