Detroit dominates the desert dogs on Thursday night
Here’s What Happened:
The Detroit Red Wings extended their point streak to nine games Thursday night by dominating the Arizona Coyotes at the Joe Louis Arena. Detroit’s 5-1 victory makes the Red Wings’ nine-game point streak the team’s longest since the 2010 season.
The Red Wings dominated from basically the start of the game against the Coyotes. Arizona’s Klas Dahlbeck scored a goal for the Coyotes 1:22 into the opening period but after a challenge by Detroit head coach Jeff Blashill, the play resulting in the goal was ruled offside.
