On Wednesday, the Detroit Red Wings begin the preseason schedule at home against the Penguins.
And they begin their first season in a long time without captain Henrik Zetterberg.
The 2008 Conn Smythe winner announced on Friday he had to retire because of his back, which has deteriorated since January.
