Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill altered his power-play units in practice Friday in an effort o spark a man-advantage that has struggled the past few weeks.
He added speed and a right-handed shot to Henrik Zetterberg's unit by moving in Andreas Athanasiou and Martin Frk, according to DetroitRedWings.com. They join Anthony Mantha (net front) and Niklas Kronwall (point).
Gustav Nyquist and Tomas Tatar were moved Dylan Larkin's unit, joining Tyler Bertuzzi (net front) and Mike Green (point).
This gives each unit an element of speed and a right shot. Blashill said Thursday that poor entries have been the primary problem.
