The Detroit Red Wings have called the Joe Louis Arena home since 1979, but in 2017 they will be upping roots and moving to Detroit’s new arena district.
Moving house is tough, and the Joe holds great memories for a lot of fans, as did the Detroit Olympia before it. But as they say, time and tide wait for no man.
