The captain of the Detroit Red Wings, Henrik Zetterberg, was the most valuable player on the team over the span of the 2015-16 season. He was a force on both ends off the ice and was the team’s leading scorer, finishing with 50 points (13 goals, 37 assists).
Zetterberg’s contributed well at even strength during the course of the season. 11 of his 13 goals were scored at even strength and he helped drive Detroit’s top line. He played a vital leadership role in developing rookie forward Dylan Larkin whom he manned a line with.
