Detroit Recalls Jared Coreau from Grand Rapids

DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings today recalled goaltender Jared Coreau from the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins.

Coreau, 24, has been one of the top goalies in the AHL this season, ranking among league leaders with 26 wins (T2nd), a 2.27 goals-against average (4th), a 0.928 save percentage (3rd) and four shutouts (T3rd) in 39 games played. The Perth, Ontario, native has appeared in in 69 games with the Griffins since the 2013-14 campaign, owning a 42-22-3 record, a 2.35 goals-against average, a 0.924 save percentage and seven shutouts. Coreau, who has already set AHL career highs in games played, wins and shutouts, won 11 straight starts from Nov.
