DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today acquired a fifth-round pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for left wing Scott Wilson.
Wilson, 25, was acquired from Pittsburgh by Detroit on Oct. 21 and appeared in 17 games with the Red Wings, recording 10 shots on goal and 22 hits while averaging 7:27 time on ice. The Oakville, Ontario, native has totaled 32 points (13-19-32) and 44 penalty minutes in 123 career NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Red Wings since the 2014-15 campaign.
