CHICAGO — The Detroit Red Wings pushed, firing shot after shot on net only to fall further behind.
The Wings twice pulled themselves within a goal Sunday at United Center, but ended up falling, 5-2 to the Chicago Blackhawks, who won their seventh straight.
The Wings hit double digits in shots every period and finished with 45. They pulled within 2-1 when Christoffer Ehn put a nifty shot behind Cam Ward in the second period. The deficit was back at two after Dominik Kahun contributed his second goal and third point of the game in the third period.
