Detroit Red Wings great Chris Chelios is readying for another Winter Games adventure.
Chelios made his Olympic debut with USA Hockey in 1984 and captained the 1998, 2002 and 2006 teams. His only medal, silver, stems from the Salt Lake Games, and Chelios was a TV analyst at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi. On Feb. 7, he departs for Pyeongchang, South Korea, where he will serve as an assistant coach for the men’s hockey team under Tony Granato, who was an assistant coach with the Wings in 2014-2016).
