EN ROUTE FROM DEN-PHX -- Up next for the Detroit Red Wings: restoring a little pride.
The Wings finish a quick road trip by taking on the Arizona Coyotes tonight (10, FSD) at Gila River Arena. The Wings come into the game having reached a nadir of a tough season, losing, 3-1, on Wednesday at the NHL-worst Colorado Avalanche. That was the fifth loss in the last six games for the Wings (26-31-11, 63 points).
While it is cold, hard reality that the more the Wings lose, the better their odds in the draft lottery, there is losing and then there is embarrassing themselves.
