Avalanche Complete Comeback to Steal Win

It was one of those games that just completely stings. The Red Wings had a 3-1 lead in the third period and seemingly looked in control to record the win in regulation. However, the Avalanche rallied and forced overtime in which they would find the game-winner.

How it Happened

The Red Wings grabbed the first lead of the game when Justin Abdelkader redirected Dylan Larkin’s initial shot past Jonathan Bernier.

With less than a minute remaining in the opening period the Avalanche would tie things up as Erik Johnson’s shot slide between the pads of Jimmy Howard.
