Athanasiou scores two, Wings beat Penguins

Andreas Athanasiou had two goals, and five others Red Wings scored Wednesday, as the Red Wings defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins, 7-2.

Dylan Larkin, Brendan Smith, Riley Sheahan (power play), Justin Abdelkader and Anthony Mantha also had goals, while Petr Mrazek stopped 36 shots.

Mantha added two assists for a three-point night (Athanasiou also had three points), while Smith, Abdelkader and Larkin each also had an assist.

The Red Wings end the exhibition season with a back-to-back Friday and Saturday against Toronto.
