The Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks faced off for the first time this season. Any thoughts of an easy victory were dashed pretty quickly as the Wings looked sluggish most of the night.
Patrick Kane tallied his third goal of the season while Calvin de Haan ripped a bullet past Thomas Greiss to get the second goal. Andrew Shaw tallied his first goal in over a year (I mean, of course against Detroit) and took a 3-0 advantage.
