The score didn’t reflect how poorly the Detroit Red Wings played Sunday in one of their worst performances of the season.
Coach Jeff Blashill offered a blunt assessment of his team’s 4-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings at Little Caesars Arena.
“I thought we got out-competed, out-executed and outworked,” Blashill said. “If you do those three things you have no chance. I don’t think that’s happened very often.
“We’ve given lots of real good efforts, even some games where the score has been more lopsided than this.
