Detroit's barscape has changed a lot over the years and today's announcement that the legendary Anchor Bar will be changing hands is just the latest.
The Anchor is one of a half-dozen or so classic establishments that has left its mark on the city's history — but don't worry, they aren't all gone. Besides the Anchor, whose new owner, Zaid Elia, has promised to preserve it without major changes, there are still a few crusty Detroit classics still standing:
