Three quick observations from Saturday night’s 99-90 win over the Portland Trail Blazers at Little Caesars Arena
A BEAUTIFUL UGLY WIN – On a night the Bad Boys were in town to celebrate their championship from 30 years ago, the present-day Pistons and Portland Trail Blazers threatened to turn basketball back 130 years. They combined to score 25 points and shoot 21 percent in the first quarter. A few minutes into the second half, the offenses finally settled in, the Pistons scoring more points in the third quarter (35) than they did in the first half (31).
