Darrun Hilliard has yet to ride the D-League shuttle from Auburn Hills to Grand Rapids, but it’s likely coming. With the Pistons scheduled to play 17 games over the next 29 days – and practice time thus at a premium – Stan Van Gundy and his front office will be looking for the best ways to make use of Hilliard’s time between the two teams.
“After Thanksgiving, there’s a stretch where if everybody were heathy, he could possibly,” Van Gundy said. “We haven’t decided, but if he could possibly get like five games in 10 days (in Grand Rapids), something like that.
