AUBURN HILLS - Zak Irvin's long and arduous process of trying to buck the odds and reach the NBA continued Wednesday in a workout for the Detroit Pistons, the ninth team for whom he has demonstrated his talents.
The 6-6 Michigan guard's chances of being drafted next Wednesday are slim, by most accounts, adding importance to these workouts. If Irvin winds up in the NBA, it most likely will be as an undrafted free agent who impresses in the summer league and the D-League.
It will take much perseverance. He is prepared.
