The Detroit Pistons were unceremonially swept by the defending Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers in four hard fought games, but no game was harder fought than the deciding fourth game. The Pistons trailed by two points with about ten seconds left when Stanley Johnson recovered a loose ball in the backcourt and dished the ball to Reggie Jackson.
Jackson dribbled up court, hounded by Kyrie Irving from the halfcourt line and fired off a desperation three-pointer as time expired, barely drawing rim. He tried to lunge into Irving to initiate contact and draw a foul, but Kyrie didn’t bite.
