Stanley Johnson couldn’t wait to declare “Detroit vs. Everybody” on Thursday night.
But really, the competition at hand is much simpler: Johnson vs. Winslow.
It’s Kentavious Caldwell-Pope over Trey Burke all over again, the Pistons passing on a player rated higher for someone who’s still solid.
Johnson ranked seventh on my draft board, so to get him eighth seems like decent value. But Winslow belonged a tier above, making passing on him tough to swallow.
Both forwards play a similar style.
