AUBURN HILLS -- The Detroit Pistons landed a signature win Thursday, knocking off the defending NBA champions for a second straight time.
Behind a big fourth quarter from Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond, Detroit edged the star-studded Cleveland Cavaliers, 106-101, at the Palace.
The duo combined for 20 of the Pistons' 33 fourth-quarter points, leading the charge with a game-changing 13-0 run that flipped a seven-point Cleveland lead.
The Pistons (32-33) withstood a triple-double from LeBron James, who had 29 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, and a 27-point game from Kyrie Irving.
Cleveland, one of the NBA's most proficient 3-point shooting teams, went 11 for 29 from distance.
