Portland, Ore. — In the Pacific Northwest, winter isn’t quite the same as in Michigan.
Snow and freezing rain are rare, not just a normal January occurrence.
Because of a dangerous forecast in Portland that called for freezing rain and snow throughout the night, the NBA postponed Saturday night’s matchup between the Pistons and Trail Blazers at the Moda Center.
The game was rescheduled for Sunday at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
Temperatures dipped into the mid-20s on Saturday afternoon and Sunday’s forecast calls for temperatures to be in the high-30s with a chance of rain.
