Strong second half propels Pistons past Rockets

DETROIT - The Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets both were missing important players Saturday.

Houston missed theirs more.

Tobias Harris paced six players who scored in double figures with 27 points as the undermanned Pistons defeated the Rockets 108-101 at Little Caesars Arena.

The Pistons (21-17) bounced back after two road losses, including a brutal 36-point defeat in Philadelphia on Friday. They did it without two starters - center Andre Drummond, a late scratch due to a rib contusion, and guard Reggie Jackson - as well as former started turned sixth man, Stanley Johnson, who missed his third game in a row due to a strained hip flexor.
