It’s been an odd change for Pistons point guard Reggie Jackson, who has been relegated to being a well-dressed supporter on the bench during the last four games. After coach Stan Van Gundy made Jackson inactive for each of the games, he’s tried to help by talking to individual players and pepping the team up during timeouts.
It’s not an easy transition.
Jackson, 26, who was the leading scorer last season, has been hampered by knee tendinitis and though he started 52 straight games after missing the first 21 because of the plasma injections, he’s possibly done for the season.
