Stanley Johnson turned heads with his play at the Orlando Summer League. So much so that orlandomagic.com writer Josh Cohen ranked Johnson second in his MVP voting, just behind Aaron Gordon.

Coming into the NBA, Johnson was scrutinized for not having much of an offensive arsenal. While it’s impossible to know this early whether that will prove true or not, Johnson didn’t seem tentative at Summer League. He shot 30-of-52 from the floor (58 percent) and 5-of-12 from 3-point range (42 percent). Johnson’s fearlessness and strength made it difficult for defenders to contain him when he drove inside.
