Stan Van Gundy is a good man. While we’d all rather he be in the midst of trying to win a second-round playoff series, he’s using his off time wisely — including adopting a special needs dog, the last dog remaining in a shelter, after an adoption event.
Eastwood was dog 22 after 21 dogs had been adopted during the Empty the Shelters event held statewide on April 29. The Little Traverse Bay Humane Society in Harbor Springs let people know just one dog remained — Eastwood, a one-year-old dog with leg deformities with possible future surgical needs that could cost up to $4,000.
