Luke Kennard, who the Pistons selected with the 12th pick in 2017, could be a good NBA player for many years. Mitchell is a great NBA player now and will be for many years. The Pistons liked the 6-3 combo guard from Louisville but opted for Kennard because of his shooting. Mitchell was taken with the next pick by the Denver Nuggets and traded to the Utah Jazz the same night.
