The Detroit Pistons have granted the Milwaukee Bucks permission to speak with Pat Garrity for their general manager job, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Garrity has been the Pistons' associate GM for one season, following two years as the team's director of strategic planning.
Garrity, 40, played 10 seasons in the NBA for the Suns and Magic. He was drafted 19th overall in the 1998 by the Bucks but sent to the Suns during a draft-day deal. The Notre Dame grad played for Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy in Orlando in 2007-08.
