The Detroit Pistons appear to have a new corporate sponsor.
According to a report by ESPN sports business writer Darren Rovell, the Pistons have signed an agreement with Flagstar Bank to sponsor the ad space on their jerseys this season. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Pistons have scheduled a press conference at 1 p.m. today to make the announcement.
The ad will be 2½ inches by 2½ inches near the top left corner of the Pistons' jerseys and feature the Flagstar logo in red, with white writing.
Palace Sports & Entertainment Vice Chairman Arn Tellem said last month the Pistons were close to a deal to become one of the first NBA teams to wear a logo on the new Nike-designed jerseys.
