Malik Rose will report directly to Ed Stefanski, the senior advisor of the Detroit Pistons. The hope is that Rose will be a suitable candidate for general manager when Stefanski’s contract is up.
Rose has quite the basketball pedigree as both a player and executive. He is a two-time NBA champion (1999 and 2003), with both titles coming as a member of the San Antonio Spurs. As a general manager, he won the G League Executive of the Year Award for 2018.
Former NBA forward Malik Rose is expected to be hired as the @DetroitPistons assistant general manager tomorrow, a source told @TheUndefeated.
