The Detroit Pistons ended the season with a hard-fought four-game sweep at the hands of the soon-to-be NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers with a point guard rotation of Reggie Jackson, Steve Blake, Spencer Dinwiddie and Lorenzo Brown. After Jackson, that trio simply can’t be relied upon to compete at a high level, and significant changes were needed.
Those changes came.
Out went Steve Blake and Spencer Dinwiddie. Blake’s rights were renounced to help clear out cap space to sign Boban Marjanovic, although it’s not out of the question that he may be re-signed closer to training camp in order to compete for the third and final third point guard role.
