The Detroit Pistons have an ugly habit of playing down to their competition and getting off to slow starts. On Friday night against the young Atlanta Hawks, however, Detroit was able to make quick work of an overmatched team, eventually winning 124-109.
With a minute left in first quarter, the Pistons were up 38-14, and the team never looked back. Andre Drummond provided the early scoring and rebounding punch while Blake Griffin facilitated the offense and had the Hawks scrambling. Drummond finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks.
