The Detroit Pistons radically remade its starting lineup Thursday against the New York Knicks in an effort to end the team’s 15-game losing streak. They started Isaiah Livers and Killian Hayes in place of rookie Ausar Thompson and Jaden Ivey. It didn’t work. They lost 118-112. But they did look a bit more functional, and it helped produce Cade Cunningham’s best game of the season — a 31-point, eight-assist effort with 60% shooting.
Today, they are likely to alter the lineup once again. Expect to see Bojan Bogdanovic in the starting lineup, unless the team determines he should come off the bench in his first game of the season after missing the season’s first 18 games to injury.
