The Detroit Pistons are back in action, kicking off preseason against the Milwaukee Bucks. The team is again led by Cade Cunnigham, fresh off of a post-rookie maximum contract. He will be joined by some grizzled fresh new faces who are here to help spread the floor and create a modern-looking offense around the young guard. Tobias Harris and Malik Beasley are expected to play big, and most likely starting, roles at power forward and shooting guard, respectively. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Paul Reed are two more veterans off the bench. The idea is to have competent, reliable players you can trust to have on the floor to help supplement the team’s returning youth, which is still plentiful.
